Basalt tubes are used for hydraulic and pneumatic conveying of various abrasive materials, then for blown or floated stowing in mines, gravity transportation of gangue and stone, slag and ash removal, pneumatic transport of batches of glass and pipes of suction systems also for the transport of agressive chemicals etc.
